Modeling Quality for ODL processesThe project offers not only a theoretical point of view based on a comparative analysis in 5 countries on implementation of Quality in ODL, but a practical approach that can be transferred to Higher Education institutions that develop some ODL (mixed with other more traditional modalities). We obtained interesting results about constraints and difficulties while implementing some quality steps in the design, production and delivery of ODL, understanding the cultural and organisational issues underlying them. The partners succeeded in creating some coherence between the different inputs and best practices from the 5 countries, offering at the end, unified deliverables, especially D2.2 (Conceptual model), D3.1 (General information on quality process, with its annex, GQPC), D3.2 (eLUP editor), D3.3 (Best Practices DataBase) and D4 (Tutorial Guide). The proof of this unification is that we can link all databases : Best Practices, activities/roles, quality criteria – from General Quality Process Charter – referring to commitments and indicators from the activities, and possibly favourable and blocking factors. The unification is implemented via the core data inserted into the eLup Editor and delivered with it. The results of the project validate our choice concerning the conception of the training including a practical implementation of a quality step in each trainee’s organisation. This trial has been the opportunity for most of our trainees to identify the constraints of their environment and to look for solutions to overcome them. |
