The HEVs is part of the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland. It offers a practically oriented training, which prepares the students for professional activities requiring the application of know-how as well as scientific methods.

The HEVs provides four domains of specialization (engineering sciences and chemistry, life sciences, economy and services, and health and social sciences) and seven fields of study: economic sciences, computing science, life technologies, industrial technologies, social working, physiotherapy, and practical nursing.

Some key numbers:

  • 1,300 students
  • 400 employees, including 120 professors
  • over 110 applied R&D projects
  • over 200 industrial partners
  • 34 partnership contracts with international education and training institutes

The HEVs is active in applied research & development (aR&D) and offers its services to third parties.
